Owner Augie Incorvaia grew up in the restaurant business opened Numero #1 in the Germantown Plaza fall of 1989. A small storefront Italian eatery catering to families and the neighborhood, it quickly became a popular neighborhood spot. After working for 13 years, Augie sold in 2003, but missing the love of his restaurant, he bought it back in 2005 and expanded it into the space previously occupied by a diner- doubling its size. He renamed it Augie’s Numero #1 Pizza. Augie’s is a casual, busting, happy place where people relax, enjoy a glass of wine or beer and dine on classic Italian foods that are reasonably priced. The menu is extensive pasta, chicken dishes, seafood and veal dishes. Plus PIZZA. Wine and beer are severed to tables.
