Dear Voter,

Wouldn’t it be great if news headlines read that Connecticut had added 5,200 jobs in September instead of losing them; that Connecticut had regained 300% of jobs lost since the recession, like Massachusetts, instead of only 80%; that our state had a $1 billion surplus instead of a $1 billion deficit; a credit rating upgrade instead of a down grade; or that it was the number 1 ranking state in fiscal health and business climate instead of number 50?

In the midst of the economic malaise brought about by our state’s current one-party rule, it’s more important than ever to return balance to our state government by electing those free from special interests, with the courage to make difficult but responsible budgeting and spending decisions without raising taxes on the public.

As your State Senator and Chief Deputy Senate Minority leader, I have never been afraid to wage the fight for good government, putting the well-being of our state and our people first and foremost. I’ve been been a consistent proponent of lower taxes, less government spending, and investments for the right reasons like education and transportation.

Toward this goal, I’ve taken a leadership role in developing a ‘Roadmap to a Better Connecticut,’ a plan to rebuild Connecticut’s financial stability and growth, allowing families to thrive and businesses to prosper.

I know this plan will work, but we need your vote on November 8th to put it into action. Together, we can put our state back on a path to prosperity and give us all hope for a better future.

Thank you.

Toni
