ATTN: DENTIST

I am writing this letter to introduce Valley Medical Institute to your Facility.

Valley Medical is a private occupational school teaching Dental Assisting. We have been teaching the program for over 12 years. The course is approved by the Connecticut Commissioner of Higher Education. The course teaches four handed dentistry and prepares the student for the DANB, RHS and ICE exams.

Valley has approved training sites in Trumbull and Waterbury and Bridgeport.

We are currently looking for externship sites where our students can perform part of our clinical program. We assist our students in obtaining externships with local dentists. The normal externship is approximately 15 hours.

We usually send 1 or 2 students at a time to a site, depending on the dentist’s needs or wants. The scheduling with the Dentist’s office will be done in coordination with the dentist and our director.

We also have a large data base of past and present students that we have made available to dentists at no cost and this could be available as a pool for temporary or permanent help for your office staffing needs. Our staff would be glad to assist you in hiring a student.
