Lynn Schnier
Hearst Jeopardy Champion!

Lynn Schnier of the News Department is our Hearst Jeopardy champion, besting her three opponents - Bill Dobrucky of Finance; Frank Grasso of Advertising in Danbury; and Justin Papp of News in Stamford - in the final match this week.

Lynn won with 1,700 points, however none of the contestants got the final Jeopardy question correct.

Do you know the correct question? (Correction "question" on the HR page of the intranet.)

A: The first newspaper published in America, was printed by Richard Pierce and edited by Benjamin Harris in Boston in this year. It contained three printed pages and one blank.

Tuesdays with Henry
Take the opportunity to spend some time with our group publisher – ask questions, voice concerns and engage in topics you think are important to the success of our company.

It’s casual, no agenda. Just conversation.

We’ll provide a light lunch - pizza or sandwiches - but also feel free to bring your lunch if you like.

And so that we’re sure we order enough food, please email Doreen Madden (dmadden@hearstmediact.com) by the Monday before if you plan to be there.

Employees – regardless of their primary office location – are welcome at any of the gatherings.

Here’s the schedule, and if this changes because of holidays, inclement weather, etc., we’ll send an office-wide email beforehand.

What do you do if you receive a customer’s phone call?
For any customer calls concerning their subscription or delivery of their paper, it’s critically important that we utilize this NEW Customer Service Team by transferring the call appropriately as outlined below. This new Customer Service Team can handle calls for any of our daily or weekly newspapers, TMC (Savings Source), SMC (YES – Your Essential Shopper) and our digital editions.

Give customers the following phone numbers for them to first to go through our automated service system where they can choose to handle several transactions, such as make a payment or schedule a vacation stop. This is a short automated precursor to the customer talking to a live agent.

From Bridgeport: Transfer a caller to ext. 688; from outside the office give them 203-333-6688 to call

From Danbury: Transfer a caller to ext. 450; from outside the office give them 877-542-6057 to call

From Greenwich: Transfer a caller to ext. 6006; from outside the office give them 203-629-2208 to call

From Stamford: Transfer a caller to ext. 6006; from outside the office give them 203-324-9799 to call

What do you do if you receive a customer email?
From any of the offices, and in regard to any of our products, forward the email to: circulation@ctpost.com. This email box is monitored by several Audience Department staffers so it will not be overlooked.
